Stephanie Greene
Stephanie Greene was born in Kansas City, MO, on March 15th 1973 to the sculptor, painter and Kansas City Art Institute professor, Jim and his wife Peggy Greene. During high school she worked as an intern at the Kansas City Contemporary Art Center and the Left Bank Art Gallery. In her twenties she owned Graphic Mass, a boutique multimedia production company based in Chicago. Working in 'the business' led her to collaborate with many wonderful, creative people including a famous graphic artist whom she greatly admires, David Carson. One of the turning points in Greene’s film/multimedia career came when Carson saw her fine art and asked, "Why aren't you doing that?" After a three year stint in Ann Arbor, MI apprenticing for a printmaker and working as an art dealer at Gallery Von Glahn she moved to Olympia, WA. where she currently resides. Since 1996 Greene has been painting professionally; her artwork is exhibited in numerous galleries and alternative spaces in the US, and collected internationally. Greene is also the Founder and Curator of eMOMA.org - The Electronic Museum of Modern Art, an online artists collective.
